Ben Affleck Turned Down The Chance To Direct ‘Flashpoint’
Ben Affleck‘s disinterest in directing The Batman has been well-documented since he was courted to direct the standalone film. And while we are left to figure out what his future is in the DCEU, there are reports that he was also courted to direct another DCEU film. And guess what? He turned down that film as well.
A new report says Affleck was tapped to direct Flashpoint, DC’s standalone for The Flash. This following the news that John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were hired to direct the film. More on the story below.

‘Flashpoint’: DC’s Flash Movie To Be Directed By ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Writers
DC’s Flash movie, which is currently going by the title Flashpoint, has had a hard time getting into production. Mostly because the film has had a difficult time finding a director to stay from start to finish.
However, it looks like WB’s troubles may be over, at least for the time being, as the film has found new directors in the Vacation reboot directors and Spider-Man: Homecoming writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. More on the story below.

Trailer For ‘Flatliners’ Sequel Starring Ellen Page Released
Once upon a time, a long, long time ago in the year 2011, we found out that Source Code writer Ben Ripley had been hired to pen the screenplay for a remake of the 1990 thriller Flatliners.
That remake would eventually become a sequel, with original star Kiefer Sutherland joining the cast to reprise his role. And now a trailer for the movie, which stars Ellen Page, Diego Luna, Nina Dobrev, James Norton, and Kiersey Clemons, has been released online.

Warner Bros. Orders ‘The Flash’ Movie Script Overhaul
Ever since Warner Bros. shifted the schedules for their DCEU slate, things for The Flash starring Ezra Miller did not look good. Things got progressively worse for the film as Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies author Seth Grahame-Smith and Dope director Rick Famuyiwa left the project over creative differences. With the film unable to make its rumored January start date, the studio has been forced to do an overhaul of the script with Joby Harold doing the rewrites.

‘The Flash’ Loses Its Second Director In A Year
Just as things were moving forward with the DCEU, The Flash, starring Ezra Miller, has hit another bump in the road. Earlier this year, Dope helmer Rick Famuyiwa signed on to direct the standalone film based on the Scarlet Speedster, replacing Seth Grahame-Smith, who had departed in April. In fact, the director was featured with his fellow DCEU directors at the Warner Bros. panel at the San Diego Comic-Con just this year. Now comes word that Famuyiwa is also stepping away from the project, and for the exact same reasons that made Grahame-Smith leave.
