IDW Publishing held a panel on Saturday afternoon at 2014’s New York Comic-Con spotlighting their comic book series Killogy and its upcoming animated TV series adaptation.

Along with IDW head Chris Ryall, the panel featured Killogy creator Alan Robert, who’s the bassist and songwriter of New York-based metal band Life Of Agony, along with another New York legend — drummer Marky Ramone.

The GoD List: Comics for October 8, 2014

Each and every week, I, “Weather Wizard!” Henchman 21 and “Captain Cold!” Empress Eve read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, we look forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of our pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of October 8, 2014. Single issues and trades, they’re all here.

It’s another busy week this time, but I’m going to find a way to restrain myself, mostly because I’m saving all of my excitement for the start of hockey season, the premier of The Flash, and the return of Arrow. Yes, I like a lot of different stuff, and that’s just who I am. Plus, The Empress is gearing up for New York Comic-Con, which begins this week. So, let’s go on another ride on the zamboni, because it’s time to face off against The GoD List!

So, Frank Vincent, Marky Ramone, and Brea Grant are locked in a Brooklyn jail cell together… No, it’s not the start of some bizarre joke””it’s the start of one powerful gorefest by Alan Robert entitled Killogy. IDW has bundled the miniseries into one volume that every horror comic devotee should plan to have in their collection.

Alan Robert’s tight script drops the reader right in the middle of a high-tension scene thanks to his Tarantino-esque manipulation of the story’s timeline. This is a tricky thing to pull off properly, but Robert (best know for Wire Hangers) makes it seem effortless as he fills in the plot with pieces of the past to reveal the strange and possibly supernaturally-influenced connections between the characters.
