It’s about that time of year again when we start to see more trailers for holiday films. While there are many films to look forward to, Netflix will be releasing their own family friendly Christmas film called The Christmas Chronicles starring Kurt Russell as the jolly, but leaner and tougher, Santa Claus.
The streaming service has released a teaser trailer for the film, which you can check out below.
Members of the heroic cast of Guardians of the Galaxy have already signed a letter showing their support for their beloved director James Gunn, who was fired when decade-old disturbing tweets were unearthed by an alt-right movement to discredit the filmmaker. In the days after his firing, the cast members each sent out their sentiments and have gone as far as asking Disney and Marvel to rehire Gunn. While there was a slight glimmer of hope that that could happen, insiders are saying it’s not likely that Disney would do it. That being said, GoTG star Dave Bautista continues his crusade of support, and is stopping short of throwing down an ultimatum.
Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, a crime film set in Los Angeles reportedly around the time of the 1969 Manson Family murders, is currently in production, and slowly the cast are sending out their headshots from the film via social media. We saw our first look at Leonardo DiCaprio as actor Rick Dalton and Brad Pitt as his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth. Now we are getting our first look at Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate, the pregnant actress wife of director Roman Polanski, who was one of the Manson murder victims.
Quentin Tarantino‘s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will take audiences back to the golden age of hippy Hollywood while also exploring Charles Manson and the murder of Sharon Tate. The director has always had an interesting perspective in telling fictionalized versions of history. So it should be very entertaining to see what kind of story he has to tell here.
Production on the film started today for a 2019 summer release. And though it may be a while before we see anything substantial, photo drops should be enough to hold us over in the long run. The first of these comes from Leonardo DiCaprio, who has released an image of him and co-star Brad Pitt, in attire that befits the ’60s era. Check it out below.
One of the names that we’ve been hearing about for a role in Quentin Tarantino‘s next project, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, has been Margot Robbie. The film is set in 1960s Hollywood and involves the Manson Family murders, and Tarantino was looking at Robbie for the role of Sharon Tate. Now Robbie has confirmed that she has indeed been cast in the movie. She joins the previously cast Leonardo DiCaprio, who will play a TV actor looking to make it in Hollywood and Tate’s neighbor, and Brad Pitt as his friend and stunt double who shares his aspirations.
In addition to that, a group of notable actors are now in talks for various roles in the film. This includes Burt Reynolds, Kurt Russell (who starred in the director’ last project, The Hateful Eight), and Tarantino regulars Tim Roth and Michael Madsen.
