The film festival, put together by director John Capo, is showing over 65 horror movies through Thursday, including world premiere originals and timeless classics. FEARnyc emanates from Cinema Village, located near NYC’s Union Square. Former Teen Star Corey Haim Dies At 38
  |  @   |

Former teen star Corey Haim died this morning in Los Angeles of an accidental overdose. He was 38.

the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the actor’s death to TV station KTLA. He was found unresponsive in his apartment at around 3:30 am and was later pronounced dead at Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank.

While the 80s brought great success for Haim, the following decade did not follow suit. Haim’s roles consisted mostly of direct-to-video flops and the actor struggled to get back his once successful career while dealing with bankruptcy, drug dependency, and stints in rehab.
