‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ May Return To Theaters In Black and White In 2016
  |  @   |

Mad Max: Fury Road came charging into theaters with heart-stopping chrome action, guns blazing, and a beautiful rocking soundtrack. Since its release, the film has been earning huge praise from fans and critics alike, it leads the Critics Choice Awards with 13 nominations, and has been nominated for two Golden Globes.

While Fury Road has been released on home entertainment platforms, those itching to see it in a theatrical format may get their chance, as there are talks of getting the film back into theaters, but with one very exciting catch. According to director George Miller, there is a chance that the film could be seen in black and white. Check out what Miller had to say below.

Honest Trailer – Mad Max: Fury Road
  |  @   |

The Mad Max franchise is very strange. The first one, with Mel Gibson was nothing like you thought it was, a slow family movie that morphs into a revenge thriller in the last act. Then came Road Warrior, and the bar was set for kick ass action movies. Now George Miller; whose IMDB resume is probably the most bizarre in history (featuring the Mad Max films, Happy Feet and Babe: Pig in the City), returns with Mad Max: Fury Road, the best big budget action film in recent memory. Narrator Jon Bailey immediately picks on all the CGI action franchises in this Honest Trailer, including Jurassic Park, Terminator, and Avengers, and revels in the glory of the practical effects of Fury Road. That and the fact that Mad Max is actually the least important character in the movie!

Watch the Honest Trailer below.

From Fury Road To Metropolis: George Miller Could Direct ‘Man Of Steel 2’
  |

Warner Bros. is proceeding carefully with their plans for a shared cinematic universe based around their DC Comics properties (a lot of which rides on next March’s release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) to compete with the unassailable Marvel Studios. They had originally planned a sequel to 2013’s Superman reboot Man of Steel to kick off the summer of 2018, but the tentatively-titled Man of Steel 2 was taken off the roster as James Wan’s Aquaman moved into position as Warner/DC’s big 2018 summer tentpole release. Meanwhile, a solo Batman reboot starring Ben Affleck has been dated for November of that year.

Unlike Marvel Studios’ blockbuster line-ups, which are usually set in stone but remain subject to the occasional alteration, the DC Comics Shared Cinematic Universe release schedule appears to be in constant flux. Even though Man of Steel 2 is not in active development at Warner Bros. for the moment, that can always change, and fast.

‘Mad Max’ Chase Re-Created With GoKarts (Video)
  |  @   |

In on of this week’s videos gone viral, a bunch of people re-created a Mad Max chase sequence using GoKarts, a truck, a paintball gun, and some sort of mini clown car version of Max’s Interceptor, and they do it quite awesomely.

The short looks to be heavily inspired by George Miller’s recent hit Mad Max: Fury Road, and it clearly is, but in fact the video was actually sponsored by Warner Brothers Games in anticipation of the release of the upcoming Mad Max video game that’s set to be released on September 1st.

You can see the short along with a behind the scenes video below.
