Gamescom 2019: New Gameplay and Character Trailers For Hideo Kojima’s ‘Death Stranding’
To kick off Gamescom 2019 last night Geoff Keighley, the man behind the yearly Game Awards, hosted an opening night showcase.
Closing out this showcase was the great Hideo Kojima, who was on hand to share some new trailers for Death Stranding, his highly anticipated first non-Metal Gear game as director since 1994’s Policenauts—not counting the P.T. demo for the Silent Hill game we’ll never get to play, sadly. Kojima shared three new character trailers for the game, found below, one of which includes new peeks at gameplay footage.

Release Date For Hideo Kojima’s ‘Death Stranding’ Revealed In Nearly 9 Minute Gameplay Trailer

Gamers have been excited about the latest game from Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima, titled Death Stranding, for three years now. But trailers and gameplay peeks we’ve seen over those three years, while awesome and intriguing, have left us clueless as to what the hell is actually going on in the game.
Thankfully a new trailer has been released, and I can absolutely confirm that I still have not a freakin’ clue what’s going on. But damn, it is pretty awesome. In fact, if I get a chance to review the game it might just say “Damn, that was awesome” and leave it at that.
The trailer shows off more of the game, including some new gameplay action, and introduces some new cast including a second film director making an appearance. It also reveals something Kojima fans have been eagerly awaiting for a long time: a release date. You can find more info and check out the trailer below.

Official Trailer For ‘Polar’ Starring Mads Mikkelsen As An Assassin Released
Netflix has released an official trailer for Polar, an upcoming movie starring Mads Mikkelsen as an assassin who finds himself dealing with a bunch of younger killers who are gunning for him.
The movie is based on the Victor Santos graphic novel Polar: Came From the Cold, and also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Katheryn Winnick, and Matt Lucas.

‘Arctic’: Official Trailer For Survival Movie Starring Mads Mikkelsen Released
Bleecker Street has released an official trailer for Arctic, an upcoming movie telling the story of a fight to survive after a plane crash in the Arctic.
The movie is directed by Joe Penna (MysteryGuitarMan) from a screenplay written by Penna and Ryan Morrison (Stowaway). It stars Mads Mikkelsen and Maria Thelma Smáradóttir.

Trailer For ‘At Eternity’s Gate’ Starring Willem Dafoe As Vincent van Gogh Released
CBS Films released a new trailer for At Eternity’s Gate this week. The film stars three-time Academy Award nominee Willem Dafoe as one of the most renowned painters ever to walk this planet, Vincent van Gogh. Also starring is Rupert Friend as Vincent’s brother Theo van Gogh, Oscar Isaac, Mads Mikkelsen, Emmanuelle Seigner, and Mathieu Amalric.
The movie, which is directed by Oscar nominee Julian Schnabel (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Before Night Falls, Basquiat), is told based on a variety of things, from letters written by Vincent van Gogh himself to rumors about his life.
