  |  @   |

After reporting that Warner Brothers has expressed interest in casting Joaquin Phoenix for an unknown role in Zack Snyder‘s Batman vs. Superman, we are learning that the film is bringing in another talent of Oscar-winning caliber on board.

THR reports that Chris Terrio, who won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for his work on Argo, is being brought in to polish David S. Goyer‘s first draft of the superhero sequel. It comes as no surprise that Terrio joins the team, considering that he has already worked with Argo star Ben Affleck, who stars as Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Zack Snyder Has Heart Set Out On Finding Batman’s Love Interest For ‘Man Of Steel’ Sequel
  |  @   |

Given that Superman (Henry Cavill) developed a romantic interest with Lois Lane (Amy Adams), the hero created a less than super and more human identity to get closer to her. Now that Batman is in the picture in the Man of Steel sequel, and Ben Affleck is confirmed to play an older version of the Caped Crusader, it is assumed that Bruce Wayne would be vying for Lois’ attention. But a casting call reveals quite the opposite.

Latino Review is reporting that Batman/Bruce Wayne will have his own love interest in the sequel, giving us a slight indication that this movie is actually bigger than we originally thought. Hit the jump for more.

  |  @   |

If you didn’t attend the San Diego Comic-Con this past Saturday or were one of the many people who couldn’t get into the coveted Hall H that day, then you might have heard that Zack Snyder dropped by to announce that the Man Of Steel sequel would hit theaters Summer 2015. But that was merely the tip of the iceberg. He also announced that Batman would be appearing as well (read our coverage here). After confirming that David Goyer would come back to write the screenplay for Man Of Steel 2, and reportedly signed on to write Justice League, Goyer is making the final turn of the press rounds for Man of Steel, which opened in theaters this weekend. While most of us are ready for the return of the famed DC Comics hero, Goyer is slowly preparing for the sequel of the film and giving us small hints about Justice League.

The early signing only signals how confident Warner Bros. Studios is in Man of Steel, and because of that, not only are they putting the sequel and the Justice League film on a fast track into production, but they are also getting ready for other solo DC Hero films like Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and more. WB Fast-Tracking ‘Man Of Steel 2’ & ‘Justice League’ By Bringing Back David Goyer
  |  @   |

Judging by all the positive buzz that is now circling Zack Snyder‘s Man of Steel, it should come as no surprise that WB is putting the development of its sequel into overdrive. The good news comes with even more good news as the studio is also looking to get a Justice League film in the works as soon as possible. All of this could not have been possible if David Goyer wasn’t working on the project, so now WB has brought him back to write the script for Man of Steel 2, and reportedly to write Justice League as well.

Lets start with Man of Steel 2. Deadline reports that in addition to Goyer’s return, Snyder will also be coming back to direct its sequel. I haven’t seen the film yet, so I can’t speculate what the follow-up could entail, but hearing that there was a building with Lex Luthor’s name teased and a Wayne Enterprise product teased, we could see something related to one or two of those things in the sequel.

The news seems to coincide with what Snyder had said last week about a Justice League film.
