‘Loki’ Series On Disney+ Will Also Connect To ‘Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness’

When it was announced that Marvel Studios would be releasing a number of TV series on Disney’s new streaming service Disney+ it was implied that they would connect to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, more so than the previous Marvel TV series. That theory was proven to be true when it was announced that WandaVision would be connected to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

But that isn’t the only show to tie into the Doctor Strange sequel. Now it has been confirmed that Loki will be connected as well. More on the report below.

Jon Favreau Speaks Out On Martin Scorsese’s Comments On Marvel Movies

These past few weeks have seen some of the greatest directors of the century criticizing Marvel movies and superhero films as a whole for not being real cinema. And then there are those like James Gunn and Kevin Smith, who defend Marvel by saying that they are cinema. So as the two sides plead their cases, the director who helped launch the Marvel Cinematic Universe is sharing his thoughts.

Jon Favreau, who directed Iron Man and Iron Man 2, and appeared in Iron Man 3, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: Far From Home, took some time off during The Mandalorian press circuit to talk about the comments made by Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola, and gave a rather composed response to their criticism of Marvel Studios films. Jeph Loeb Leaves His Post As Head Of Marvel Television

Marvel Television has been going through an evolution in recent years with many of the original shows like Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D., The Inhumans, and Netflix’s Marvel shows all being canceled.

Now the man behind all of that is stepping down. Reports confirm that Jeph Loeb will be leaving his post as the head of Marvel Television before the end of the year. More on this below.

Kevin Feige Gets Promoted From Marvel Studios President To Marvel Entertainment’s Chief Creative Officer

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, the man who brought us from Iron Man all the way to Avengers: Endgame, has received a major promotion.

New reports confirm that he will be moved up the ladder all the way to Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Entertainment. This means that he will oversee the company’s film, television, and publishing titles. That’s quite a lot of responsibility, especially when he’s got some other projects across the Disney office. Marvel and Hulu Expand Marvel Television With Howard The Duck, M.O.D.O.K, Tigra & Dazzler, and More

Although it has taken some time for Marvel Television to find success, they have done so by getting out of the MCU’s way and existing in their own space. Sure there may be some slight nods to the unseen cinematic characters they co-exist with, but for the most part, these shows are successful because they build their own brand. While Netflix has been quick to cancel some of their Marvel shows in the past, Hulu is in the process of developing their own shows just as quickly.

Various reports that are coming out of the winter TCAs are confirming that Marvel Television is developing animated shows based on Howard the Duck, M.O.D.O.K., Tigra & Dazzler Show, and Hit-Monkey. And they will be bringing in some very funny comedians to oversee these shows. From Kevin Smith and Chelsea Handler to Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum. More on the report below.
