Sony has hired screenwriter Derek Connolly to pen the latest draft of Metal Gear Solid, a movie adaptation of the hit video game series created by Hideo Kojima.
The games follow Solid Snake, a special ops agent who’s particularly skilled in stealth, infiltration, and espionage. Snake is often tasked with destroying giant bipedal tanks, called Metal Gears, which carry nuclear weapons.
Konami has released an announce trailer for the next game in the Metal Gear series, and it’s a bit different than fans are used to. The game is the first in the franchise without creator Hideo Kojima, who parted ways with Konami after Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was released, involved.

At first no one had a clue what was going on in the trailer, but thankfully some information on what the game actually is has since been revealed.
