Simon Pegg Ranks The ‘Star Wars’ Movies In Under A Minute (Video)
  |  @   |

Back in July, a sizzle reel for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was shown at San Diego Comic-Con, and in the video, someone unexpected showed up — Mr. Simon Pegg. While Pegg has made a name for himself with Edgar Wright’s “The Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World’s End), the actor has also been a part of major film franchises like Star Trek, Mission: Impossible, and Chronicles of Narnia. But, if you know Pegg, then you know he’s a total Star Wars fanatic (check out his book Nerd Do Well). We don’t know yet what his role in the new Star Wars film will be, but one thing’s for sure, if there’s an actor out there who deserves to have a part in the Star Wars saga, it’s Simon Pegg.

With that, while Pegg was making the press rounds for his latest film, the Tom Cruise actioner Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, MTV asked him to rank all six existing Star Wars films from worst to best in under a minute.

Check out that video here below.

Paramount Green Lights ‘Mission: Impossible 6’
  |  @   |

When doing the press rounds for a film as big as Mission: Impossible, it’s hard not to hear a question about sequels. Of course, studios base their decision on the film’s performance at the box office, and now with Rogue Nation taking the number one spot at the box office with an impressive $57 million last weekend, there was no question that a sequel would be in order.

More after the jump.

“Hunt is the living manifestation of destiny and he has made you his mission.”

Directed by Brian De Palma and starring Tom Cruise, 1996’s Mission: Impossible was a critical and commercial success. Based on the 1960s CBS television series, the adaptation became the third highest-grossing film of that year, bested only by Twister and Independence Day.

Five movies and two decades later, the Mission: Impossible franchise shows no signs of slowing. The latest installment, Christopher McQuarrie‘s Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, is an action-packed spy thriller that’s bolder than Bond and more fun than Furious 7.

The newest installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation opens in theaters this weekend, and as always talks of a sequel have already made the press rounds. According to Cruise, the film could start production as early as next year.

Cruise is also talking about the possibility of an Edge of Tomorrow 2, and has apparently pitched an idea to director Doug Liman and screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie. More on the story below.
