This weekend the most diverse collection of individuals on our planet have gathered together in New York City at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center for this year’s New York Comic-Con. And a group of our contributing GoDs — (Athena, Danny, Sarah, Max, Eve, and me, Dave3, to be exact) — are here to provide coverage of all the goings-on of NYCC 2015.
Among my favorite things to do is walk the convention floor, checking out all the goodies, meeting artists, creators, exhibitors, fans, and cosplayers. And of course, taking pictures along the way. And I spent the majority of today doing exactly that: perusing the aisles of the convention floor, taking in the sites, the sounds, and the smells of the ever-growing yearly Geekdom collective.
Today’s highlights include a run-in with the Baseball Furies from The Warriors, Princess Sparklefist herself Captain Marvel, and the amazingly amusing webslinger amalgam, Spider-Met!
Anyhoo, hit the jump and check out my photo galleries from today.
The first gameplay preview for Mortal Kombat X, the newest game in the franchise that was announced recently, premiered at E3 2014. It involves previews of two fights, one between characters you know, and one between new characters…including a tag team featuring the nightmarish little bundle of joy described in the headline.
The game looks every bit as brutally violent as fans of the series would expect, and you can check out the first gameplay video below.
E3 2014 is just one short week away now, but plenty of little goodies have been shared prior to the event, and that continues this week.
An announcement trailer has been released for the next game in the Mortal Kombat franchise, titled Mortal Kombat X. The trailer is just a cinematic, but in it legendary combatants Scorpion and Sub-Zero battle to the death, so fans should enjoy giving it a watch.
