As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand, more and new heroes will be added to the fray. And most would agree that the following would be welcomed additions to the MCU. At this year’s D23 Expo, Disney+, Disney’s upcoming exclusive streaming service, announced that the following 3 new original live-action series are being developed for the platform: Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk. More on the report below.
The superhero field has become more diversified in recent years, and one of the most notable heroes to appear in the pages of a comic book is Kamala Khan, Marvel’s first Muslim hero. Khan took over the Ms. Marvel name and suit from Carol Danvers who assumed the Captain Marvel name. The character’s appearance has been an inspiration and the face of inclusion, and now she may be getting the big screen treatment.
In an interview during the Late Night press junket, Mindy Kaling says she has spoken to Marvel Studios about writing a Ms. Marvel adaptation. More on this below.
Videos of a fireplace to put on your TV or computer screen this time of year is nothing new. You can even find a few on Netflix. Even without the added benefit of providing heat, they’re relaxing and make wherever you are feel more like home.
If you’re a geek looking for a nice cracklin’ fire to put on in the background while working or hanging out with friends and family, Marvel has you covered. They’ve released a collection of videos of the fireplaces in various Marvel heroes’ homes. Each is just over an hour long, and includes Captain America‘s Brooklyn apartment, Ms. Marvel‘s New Jersey home, Thor‘s Asgard home, Iron Man‘s Manhattan apartment, and the Guardians of the Galaxy‘s spaceship and its fancy futuristic fire. There’s also a second close-up version of each of these.
Marvel’s TV plans go far beyond Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Agent Carter, and the four series on Netflix. Following the major success of Daredevil, announcing that the two ABC shows have been renewed, and launching a spinoff series with 12 Years A Slave writer John Ridley, comes a bunch of new rumors surrounding current shows and shows that have yet to air.
Learn more about these shows, plus reaction to them from the higher-ups below.
