A movie based on Naughty Dog’s hit Uncharted video game series has been stuck in a special level of development Hell for quite a while now. To give you an idea, Sony put the project on the fast track…back in 2009.
For a long time fans of the games were begging Sony to cast Firefly and Castle star Nathan Fillion in the lead role of Nathan Drake. Because Fillion is without question the best possible actor to play Drake, and fans knew it. Hell, even Fillion himself wanted to play Drake. Unfortunately Sony didn’t agree, and numerous other actors have been attached to the role over the years.
But none of that matters now. Since Sony didn’t give the fans what they wanted, the fans themselves have done it instead. It’s just a short fan film sadly, but it is a live-action Uncharted movie starring Fillion as Drake. You can check it out below, if it hasn’t been pulled for some reason.
Netflix has released a new teaser for season two of A Series of Unfortunate Events, their adaptation of the book series of the same name by Lemony Snicket (the pen name of Daniel Handler).
In the new teaser Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) throws all that season one marketing stuff in the garbage and shows off what we can expect to see from the show’s follow-up effort.
Continue below for more on the show and the second season, such as some of the new additions to the cast (which includes a special someone who sets up a nice little Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog reunion Joss Whedon fans will be excited about).

Written and directed by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), 2006’s Slither was a box office bomb but has since become a cult classic. Enter Scream Factory, Shout! Factory’s sub-division of cult horror and science-fiction films, known for resurrecting forgotten movies and giving them new life, along with a high-definition transfer.
Now Gunn’s delightfully disgusting creature feature gets a second chance with a deluxe Collector’s Edition Blu-ray, jam-packed with bonus features, including a new audio commentary with Gunn and actors Nathan Fillion and Michael Rooker.
Back before he signed on to make blockbusters for Marvel, James Gunn was known for much smaller movies as a director: the brilliant horror flick Slither, and the vigilante dark comedy Super.
The former is set for a new Collector’s Edition Blu-ray release soon from Scream Factory, and full details on the new offering including a complete list of bonus features have been revealed. You can find all of the info on Scream’s Slither Blu-ray below along with a trailer for the movie and the awesome cover art.

One of the things that continues to impress me about Pixar’s Cars franchise is its resiliency and heart. Though it is considered to be one of Pixar’s weakest franchises, it managed to become a trilogy. It may not resonate as much with fans as some other Pixar films do, but Cars has continually shown that it has what it takes to be great. Even if it that means it needed to take two “very safe” films to get there. So Cars 3 doesn’t take any huge risks, it takes an unconventional approach to possibly ending Lightning McQueen’s (Owen Wilson) story.
While that is a bit refreshing for the franchise, it does come with its own set of issues and concerns. All of it depends on how you look at it. Check out my full review below.
