Video: ‘Stranger Things’ Times Square NYC Pop-Up Store
  |  @   |

The Upside Down has infiltrated New York City in Times Square with Stranger Things: The Experience! This immersive shopping experience will satisfy the Hawkins drought we have all been feeling since the end of Season 3 of the Netflix series, Stranger Things. Opening weekend saw many visitors, who came to the pop-up to play games at the Palace Arcade, visit the Byers’ living room, go to the Hawkins Snow Ball, and put themselves at risk in the Russian lab. The details for these mini-sets were amazing, with all kinds of 80’s technology and memorabilia strewn about. There is a ridiculous amount of Stranger Things and Netflix merchandise for sale to satisfy all geeks and empty all wallets.

Check out our live video of the event and gallery of pics here below.

Cults are scary. Unlike demons, vampires, monsters, etc., cults are both 100% real and 100% human. In the last few years evidence about the recruiting tactics behind the Church of Scientology and NXIVM have been detailed in docu-series and tell-all books. Los Angeles has its own storied history of cult behavior, most infamously The Manson Family. David Marmor’s new film 1BR captures the unsettling reality of modern cult behavior and gets to the core of things that terrify any and everyone who lives in a big city or an apartment complex. Who are your neighbors really? Who can you truly trust in your building? Who is really watching you from the security cameras? Add in some mesmerizing performances and you are left with one of the most tense psychological horror films of the year.

Rated PG-13 | Minutes: 126
Release Date: November 27, 2019 (Limited) | December 20, 2019 (Netflix)

It’s amazing what could be accomplished when two people of differing ideologies could come together to simply sit down and listen to each other. That kind of consideration and respect is hard to come by, especially in this day and age. But when it happens, it reminds us of the power of empathy and tolerance. Fernando Meirelles’ The Two Popes is just that film. Based on true events, The Two Popes is a strong call to action for those who may not agree with others to simply understand their point of view. ‘Vikings’ Sequel Series ‘Valhalla’ Announced
  |  @   |

Back in 2015 our own Olympus Athens wrote a joke article about a spinoff to the hit History Channel series Vikings titled Valhalla. As it turns out, that harmless April Fools’ Day gag was somewhat prophetic.
