New York Comic-Con is back this year at the Jacob Javits Center in NYC with a more low-key vibe, reminiscent of NYCC’s of yore. Less crowded, less mega panels and stars, but extra joy. You can just feel the positivity as everyone seems just so happy to be back. On that note, I meandered outside and was drawn to The Sandman: Act II Audible Experience.

New York Comic-Con just wrapped on another successful year at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in midtown Manhattan this weekend. All Elite Wrestling invaded NYCC fresh off giving TNT their biggest debut for a new show in five years with All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite on Wednesday, October 2nd. On Friday, the wrestlers and stars of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) came to discuss their new Wednesday night show and describe what sets them apart from other wrestling companies in the world. Current AEW World Heavyweight Champion and Fozzy lead singer Chris Jericho was there along with stars Jon Moxley, Nyla Rose, “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, Kia Stevens — who wrestles as Awesome Kong and appears on Netflix’s Glow — and last but not least AEW’s Chief Branding Officer Brandi Rhodes. I guess packing wrestlers into tight spaces was not a great idea, as later in the day at their AEW on TNT panel, all hell broke loose!
As many have heard, episode 1 of Riverdale’s fourth season will address the death of Archie’s father, Fred Andrews (played by the late Luke Perry). At a New York Comic-Con panel Q & A on Sunday, October 6, the cast and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa delved into the emotional experience of honoring Perry while filming the episode, and also shared some hints of what might happen with all of the beloved characters on the CW series this season.
Cast panelists included Mädchen Amick (Alice Cooper), Marisol Nichols (“Hermione Lodge”), Mark Consuelos (“Hiram Lodge), Molly Ringwald (“Mary Andrews”), and Skeet Ulrich (“FP Jones”). The group had a lively discussion and shared a number of juicy spoilers for season 4, including romances, new character introductions, major events, and even a possible crossover with The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Once again, Clan Fraser traveled from the past to the present to join fans at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden for the New York Comic-Con’s Outlander Season 5 panel. Gracing the stage were stars Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, David Berry, Duncan LaCroix, and Maria Doyle Kennedy, along with executive producers Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis, and Outlander author Diana Gabaldon.
With Season 5 of Outlander still four months away, the cast and crew were unable to truly reveal too much of what the new season will hold for the characters; however, to the delight of the fans in attendance, a recorded video from Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin also included the first trailer for February’s premiere.
