Nickelodeon is all about the revivals lately. Not only did they bring back Hey Arnold! last year, but they also recently revived the game show Double Dare and announced plans for new Blue’s Clues, Rocko’s Modern Life, and Invader Zim. And now they’re adding another title to that list. It’s been announced that the hit 1990s animated show Rugrats is also being revived.
Not only are new episodes of the animated favorite on the way—26 of them to be exact—but it’s also been announced that a live-action Rugrats movie with some CGI characters is also in the works. Continue below for all of the details.
A month ago we found out that the popular ’80s and early ’90s game show Double Darewas being revived by Nickelodeon. The only question we didn’t have an answer to, was whether or not Marc Summers was going to return as host.
Now Nickelodeon has announced a return date for the show, and that Summers will indeed be involved. But there’s a catch. Summers will not be returning as host, instead taking on a commentary role for the game’s challenges. Liza Koshy steps into the role of host for this new version of Double Dare.
