In Transformers: Age of Extinction, the Transformers are America’s most wanted. After the Fall of Chicago, CIA operative Harold Attinger (Kelsey Grammar) assembles Cemetery Wind, a strike team tasked with exterminating the remaining Autobots and Decepticons. His secret weapon is Lockdown, an intergalactic mercenary on a mission to capture Optimus Prime.
In rural Texas, struggling robotics inventor Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) and his partner Lucas (T.J. Miller) purchase an old semi-truck in hopes of stripping it down for parts. Turns out the ol’ rust bucket is Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen), leader of the Autobots and the U.S. government’s public enemy number one.
A new trailer for the next installment in the Transformers franchise, Transformers: Age of Extinction, has been released.
Some of the trailer is stuff we’ve seen in previous previews—particularly early on—but there is plenty of new footage to check out as well, including more dinobot action and a well-bearded Transformer.
Transformers fans sat through three movies without seeing the Dinobots make an appearance, but for the upcoming fourth one, Michael Bay is making sure that they will make one grand entrance.
As you might have guessed from the header, Transformers 4 will have Dinobots. But instead of calling it just Transformers 4, Paramount has retitled the film, which will now be called Transformers: Age of Extinction. There have been rumors as to what the title could really be, and Paramount has bought a few domain names to throw a few people off, but in the end they have settled for Age of Extinction. Hit the jump to see the official teaser poster.
Recently, images of Autobot disguises, a Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse and a Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray, were teased. But as to what Autobot would take the respective forms remains to be seen, although Sideswipe did disguise himself as the Stingray in both Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen and Transformers: Dark Of the Moon, whether or not that will carry over into Transformers 4 remains to be seen. So whilst the two vehicles go without robotic forms, two new images of familiar Autobots have been released.
Optimus Prime is getting a whole new body for Transformers 4, but is pretty much keeping the same color scheme that he has had from the last three Transformers films. However it’s Bumblebee who is getting a body by getting an old school makeover. Unfortunately it won’t be old school like VW Bug. Hit the jump to check out the new car bodies for Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.
