Black Mirror is a sharp and witty satirical drama akin to The Twilight Zone, but with a more technological vibe. The show has explored many of those dangers with our obsession with technology, the inability to curb it, our reliance on it, and what would happen if there was no oversight.
And now Black Mirror will be back again for season five. Though it will have a significantly shorter season than any of the seasons that came before, it will still have the same major star power as any other season. Miley Cyrus, Anthony Mackie, and Topher Grace will all star in the three episodes that will appear this season. An official trailer has been released for the new season, and you can check it out below.
I took so many photos during the Hall H panels I attended at SDCC, that I’ve been updating our panel coverage articles with galleries since Sunday afternoon. And I’ve only now just finished processing my final lot of panel photos.
Below are nearly 400 additional panel photos that were taken over the course of my four days in Hall H, including Kingsman: The Secret Service with Colin Firth; the EW Women Who Kick Ass panel; The Maze Runner, the newest film in the Hitman franchise Agent 47; Michael Mann’s Blackhat with Chris Helmsworth; Let’s Be Cops; the newest stop-motion masterpiece from Laika, The Box Trolls; Paris-sewer found-footage horror, As Above So Below; Salma Hayek’s ‘The Raid,’ Everly; and an animated film that was completely off my radar pre-SDCC, but which I am now extremely looking forward to, The Book of Life.
We have a quick teaser image for you today courtesy of BOOM! Studios. There’s nothing official yet, but looking at the image, it appears that BOOM! will be publishing a comic book series based on the FOX TV series Sleepy Hollow.
It’s pretty clear from the image, which you can see in full here below, that it’s the Headless Horseman, along with Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie). Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on who will be handling the writing or interior art for the series, or when it will be out.
Sleepy Hollow, one of Fox’s new series, is definitely my most anticipated new Fall television show. I already got a chance to watch the pilot, and I totally loved it. The series is based on Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, but here it has a modern twist where Ichabod Crane is a soldier resurrected in present-day and there’s a murderous Headless Horseman riding through the streets of the quaint New York village.
Fox has released a few clips from the pilot, which you can watch here below.
With the fall comes all-new television series and coming this September to Fox is Sleepy Hollow, an old tale but with a new twist.
The new series is based on Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, but is a modern retelling where Ichabod Crane is resurrected in present-day where the world is in danger and he’s humanity’s last hope. Oh, and there’s a murderous Headless Horseman!
Watch the video here below for the show, titled “Secrets,” as well as the full trailer.
