Kreator Gods of Violence CD | MP3
Label: Nuclear Blast
Release Date: January 27, 2017
Teutonic thrash lords Kreator have just unleashed their fourteenth studio album, Gods of Violence. The record is out now worldwide via the Nuclear Blast label and marks the German legends’ first studio effort in five years. That’s the longest period that Kreator have ever taken between albums in their 30-year career. So, was it worth the wait?
In short, yes! Not only is Kreator at the top of their game musically, but Gods of Violence may just be their most cohesive effort to date. It’s truly amazing when any band has such longevity, but to continue raising the bar when many of your contemporaries have long since fallen out is an extreme rarity.
Canadian death metal titan Kataklysm is one of those rare bands that has managed to stay true to its brutal roots over the course of a nearly 25 year career. They have also managed the rarity of keeping a relatively stable lineup throughout their career. The band like to refer to their sound as “Northern hyperblast.”
Kataklysm continue to lay down the Northern hyperblast on their recently released twelfth studio album Of Ghosts & Gods. This week’s Massive Metal Monday track is the first single from the album “Thy Serpents Tongue.” Check out the video here below and pick up a copy of the record, which is out now worldwide on Nuclear Blast Records. You won’t be sorry!
Well, we now know what the long-awaited new Slayer album is called and when it will be released.
The California metal giants will release their eleventh studio album entitled Repentless on September 11, 2015 via their own as yet unnamed imprint through Nuclear Blast Records. It will be the first album since the death of founding guitarist and major songwriting contributor Jeff Hanneman in 2013.
April 24th will herald the arrival of the twelfth studio album by Swedish blackened death metal gods Unleashed. The album is called Dawn of the Nine and will be issued by Nuclear Blast Records. The first single is the track “Where Is Your God Now?” and the record company has posted a lyric video for the song online, which you can listen to here below.
Unleashed has never disappointed me with a new release and if this track is any indicator that record will be staying intact. The band will be spreading their brand of blackened death metal around the world with an extensive tour to support Dawn of the Nine. We will pass along the dates and locations when they become available.
Norwegian viking metal stalwarts Enslaved are gearing up for the release of their thirteenth album In Times. I’ve only had the chance to listen to it once through, but I am definitely digging it so far. It’s exactly the sort of epic extreme metal that these guys have been delivering for the last 25 years. Check it out and, whether you are an old or new fan, be sure to catch Enslaved on tour with YOB and Ecstatic Vision. (See tour dates below.)
