Overkill’s ‘The Walking Dead’ Gameplay and Cinematic Launch Trailers Released

Overkill Software, the developer behind the Payday games, has released a pair of launch trailers for The Walking Dead, their first-person shooter set in the universe created by Robert Kirkman. Kirkman also offered some guidance in creating the game.

With the game launching on PC this week, Overkill has released both a gameplay launch trailer and a cinematic launch trailer. You can find more information on the game and watch both of these trailers below.

Watch: Overkill’s ‘The Walking Dead’ Character Trailers “Maya” and “Grant”

At the end of last year we saw a trailer for a new video game set in the same universe as Robert Kirkman‘s comic series The Walking Dead, which introduced a character named Aidan. The game, which was first announced four years ago, comes from Payday developer Overkill Software.

Last month a new trailer was released for a character named Maya, and that was followed today with a trailer for the third playable character, Grant. You can read more about the game and check out the latest character trailers below.

Trailer For ‘Payday’ Developer Overkill’s ‘The Walking Dead’ Video Game Released

Way back in the year 2014, we found out that another video game set in Robert Kirkman‘s The Walking Dead universe was being made by Payday developer Overkill Software. At the time, we had a lengthy wait ahead of us to the game’s planned 2016 release. As you may have guessed by now, that wait ended up being just a teeny bit longer. The game is now set for a 2018 release.

But while we still have some waiting to do, a new trailer has been released. The game is, like Payday, a four-player co-op game. In it, you and your friends will be able to team up to see how you deal with both the living and the dead during the zombie apocalypse.

This new trailer introduces us to the first playable character, Aidan. You can check it out and read more about the game below.
