Producers are currently holding panels for the Television Critics Association summer tour. These panels are held annually before the fall season starts, and for many highly anticipated shows, comes all sorts of exciting news. Better Call Saul fans are surely anxious to see what Jimmy McGill’s (Bob Odenkirk) next move is after what happened at the season finale. The first series has earned some major acolytes, scoring seven Emmy nominations including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.
Now AMC has released two brand new photos from season two, one from an episode, the other is a behind the scenes look.
The Season 1 finale of AMC’s Better Call Saul, Episode 1.10 “Marco,” aired Monday night and it served mostly as an epilogue of sorts to the previous episode, which revealed what has been standing in Jimmy’s (Bob Odenkirk) way all these years.
The network has released the “most talked about scene” from the episode, which sees Jimmy talking to Mike in his parking clerk booth about what they could have done different in the Kettlemans situation. AMC has also released a behind-the-scenes featurette that’s a 5-minute “Inside Look” at the episode that brings us from the HMM law offices to Cicero, IL where Jimmy meets up with his old pal, Marco, and back.

It’s been 10 episodes of Better Call Saul and all season long, we’ve been wondering how Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) went from Slippin’ Jimmy the con man to Jimmy McGill, Esq., graduate of online law school University of American Samoa, to criminal lawyer Saul Goodman on AMC’s Breaking Bad. In tonight’s season finale, Episode 1.10 “Marco,” all the details have been revealed and all the dots have been connected.
More so than ever, we see that Jimmy is a criminal at heart — but it’s a good heart. If you think of Mike Ehrmantraut’s (Jonathan Banks) speech in Episode 1.9 after the drug deal about “good criminals and bad cops, bad priests and honorable thieves,” we see the analogy to Jimmy. This is a man who’s smart and quick on his feet; people like him and are drawn to him; he’s a good talker; he can convince people to do things — but what to do with those powers? According to Jimmy’s brother Chuck (Michael McKean), Slippin’ Jimmy with a law degree is dangerous. And he’s right, a Slippin’ Jimmy who knows the law is someone to watch out for.
In this week’s installment of Better Call Saul, Episode 1.9 “Pimento,” Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) has some extreme highs and some very low lows as he deals with the class-action law suit and the possibility of partnering up with his brother Chuck (Michael McKean) and Chuck’s law partner Howard Hamlin (Patrick Fabian). Meanwhile, Mike (Jonathan Banks) takes on a side gig as muscle to make big money fast.
For the next installment, Episode 1.10 “Marco,” which is the Season 1 finale, AMC has released a sneak peek, which centers on Jimmy meeting up with Kim and facing the consequences of the deal with Hamlin.
