‘Wolverine 3’ Gets An Official Title and Teaser Poster
  |  @   |

For a long time, the press has been calling the third installment of the Wolverine franchise, Wolverine 3. Seems to make a bit of sense considering it all started with X-Men Origins: Wolverine and was followed up by The Wolverine. But like Batman Begins, the sequel title looks to call everyone’s favorite X-Men by another name. Both film star Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold have revealed the official title of the film, which will simply be called Logan. Though that isn’t truly the character’s real name, it is a name that he is commonly referred to by.

There has been plenty of opportunities for FOX to reveal details about the film, but now that they have, they will have five months to show everyone that Logan will be worth the wait. More on the story below, along with the newly revealed teaser poster.

“Now, whatever you saw or did. Is no longer my concern. But let’s be clear. It won’t end well.”

Assault on Precinct 13 meets American History X in Green Room, the latest nerve-shattering cinematic experience from writer-director Jeremy Saulnier (Blue Ruin). This brilliantly crafted bloodbath is the very definition of “splatterpunk.”

Hugh Jackman has been playing the role of Wolverine for the past 16 years. The character is the face of the X-Men film franchise, having appeared in all of the films, cameo or otherwise. He even got his own titular spinoff. The actor will, of course, be reprising his role one final time in Wolverine 3. But aside from him, Patrick Stewart was the only other actor to have a role in the film. And now it is about to add some more.

Earlier this month Boyd Holbrook was cast as an original villain not known to the comics. Now according to new reports, Stephen Merchant and Richard E. Grant have been cast in the film. More on their roles below.

‘Wolverine 3’: Mark Millar Explains How ‘Old Man Logan’ Could Work
  |  @   |

As a creative consultant for Fox’s Marvel properties, Mark Millar has successfully crafted a cinematic universe with the limited properties that are at his disposal. Both the X-Men: First Class and Wolverine trilogies are coming to a close, and with the untitled third Wolverine movie said to end Bryan Singer’s X-Men Saga, it will be interesting to see how the franchise moves forward from there. We still don’t know much about Wolverine 3, but Hugh Jackman has hinted that it could be based off of the “Old Man Logan” storyline. The problem with that though is that many of the supporting characters and villains currently belong to Marvel Studios.

But Millar doesn’t see that being a major issue, and believes that “the continuity stuff is the most boring side of it” and “keeping it simplified and keeping it generally X-Men universe is a smarter thing to do.” More on his comments here below.
