The popularity of Netflix’s Stranger Things has inspired a phenomenon. The show, which takes cues from many iconic sci-fi films of the ’80s, will be debuting its second season tomorrow.
And what would a hit show be without an aftershow. But how does an aftershow work for a series that releases all its episodes in one day? Well, Netflix has figured that out with Beyond Stranger Things, hosted by Jim Rash (Community). More on the story and a sneak peak video of the show below.
As promised by that cool Friday the 13th trailer teaser yesterday, Netflix has released the final trailer for Stranger Things season two.
The trailer is another strong one—not quite as long as the Comic-Con trailer, but still running well over two minutes and showing plenty turn fan excitement and anticipation up to 11 for the final two-week stretch before the new season arrives.

When looking for inspiration for modern comedy, I know what you’re thinking”¦ the 14th century! For The Little Hours, writer/director Jeff Baena turns to an odd source, Giovanni Boccaccio’s The Decameron. Written in the late 1300s after the Bubonic Plague ripped Europe apart, The Decameron was a collection of novellas about ten young people living in a secluded villa. The atmosphere and period setting made me instinctively think of Monty Python and the Holy Grail while the tone of the comedy — sex-based and vulgar — brought to mind There’s Something About Mary and Superbad. Somehow these two angles come together to form an oddly unique film that is intriguing throughout and laugh out loud funny at times.
Season 2 of Stranger Things will be dropping a few more nods to the ’80s. Sean Astin and Paul Reiser will now be joining Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Noah Schnapp (Will), and Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven). Linnea Berthelsen will also be joining the cast. Check out the full story below.
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Aliens, a panel was held at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 featuring those involved with the movie.
The panel included writer/director James Cameron (Titanic, Avatar, Terminator 2), producer Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead), and cast members Sigourney Weaver (Galaxy Quest, Avatar), Bill Paxton (True Lies, Apollo 13), Lance Henriksen (Millennium, The Terminator), Michael Biehn (The Terminator, Tombstone), Paul Reiser (Red Oaks, Whiplash), and Carrie Henn, who played Newt, looking back at the iconic science fiction classic.
