Last week on Bates Motel, Norman (Freddie Highmore) went completely off the reservation, imagining he was speaking to his dead father, and that Norma (Vera Farmiga) was the one who killed Emma’s mother. He confronted his mother, and she was scared of him, walking around with a knife. Romero (Nestor Carbonell) decided to marry Norma. Emma’s (Olivia Cooke) transplant was a success. Norma, with the help of Romero, carted Norman off to the fancy insane asylum.
Marvel’s Daredevil Season 2 Episodes 1-3

Finally, Marvel returns to Netflix with Season 2 of Daredevil. Debuting last year, the 13-episode series, uploaded all at once on the streaming site, put to death terrible memories of the unimpressive Ben Affleck film version. The new Daredevil (Charlie Cox), is blind lawyer Matt Murdock, who along with his best buddy Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and victim turned associate Karen (Deborah Ann Woll), run a law firm to help the underprivileged in Hell’s Kitchen. Murdock was blinded as a boy and the chemicals that blinded him also enhanced his other senses to the extreme. After a season long battle with Mob “Kingpin” Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), Murdock finally went from blindfolded ninja costume to the red suited Man With No Fear himself in the season finale. The series received rave reviews from critics and fans and with the series being on Netflix it was allowed to take its time over the 13-episodes whereas a film is forced to squeeze everything into 90-120 minutes. The show’s success launched a future Marvel Netflix empire, as Jessica Jones starring Krysten Ritter was already a huge hit last year, and there are other series slated such as Luke Cage and Iron Fist. The storyline going into season 2 of Daredevil is, who will take over Wilson Fisk’s spot as top crime boss?
Last week on The Strain, the vamps have gotten into Red Hook via naive boat captain. It looks like the end for the councilwoman and pretty much everyone, but they have the motley heroes on their side. Nora (Mia Maestro) and Fet (Kevin Durand) go try to restore the UV power, but newly madeover Kelly Goodweather (Natalie Brown) follow them because they have Zach. Eph (Corey Stoll) and Dutch (Ruta Gedmintas) take up arms (seperately). Nikki ends up saving Dutch’s life, and for that sweet Fet is grateful. In a last hope rallying cry, Justine urges the people of Red Hook to take up arms, and it’s a victory for the neighborhood (even though if Nora and Fet did not get the power back on, it would have been a different story). Setrakian (David Bradley) takes off after Eichorst (Richard Sammel), with Eph on his heels. I honestly can’t believe Setrakian has not given up by now, because he never wins.

Last week on Mad Men, the gang found out that McCann Erickson “forgot” to pay the lease and everyone has to move to their offices. Don (John Hamm) tried a last ditch effort to separate themselves, by offering to go run the California branch. At least this way, the conflict clients won’t be affected. It’s shot down immediately, with assurances that this is better for them. When they finally tell the office at the end, it’s like they already ceased to exist.
