Can you believe it? Harley Quinn (or Harleen Quinzel) of the DC universe has been in existence for 25 years, and she’s more popular than ever. In a panel on Friday, October 7 at New York Comic-Con, fans were treated to a celebratory session delving into the iconic character. Harley Quinn comic book writers Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti, along with Tor.com staff writer Emily Asher-Perrin, led the discussion. The room was a sea of Harley Quinn cosplayers, including myself!
The $11 t-shirt deal of the day over at TeeFury today is called “Gotham City Landscaping” by aflagg and is inspired by Batman.
The sale began at Teefury today, Sunday, September 29, 2013, at midnight EST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site for $11 anymore, though it will continue into the next day for $14 (look for the After Hours bar at the top).
All right, so you guys know I like Batman, right? That’s not really a secret that I’m trying to hide. Another thing that I don’t really like to hide is cool art related to the character. And Austin, TX-based artist Xero has come to the task of putting together a pretty rad group of art prints of some of the best of Batman’s rogues gallery.
In a collection that the artist calls “Gotham’s Most Wanted,” Xero takes his/her own style on various villains on the caped vigilante. In this set we see Xero’s unique perspective on the heavy hitters such as Catwoman, Scarecrow, Two-Face, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy and, of course, The Joker.
