The deal of the day over at RIPT Apparel today is a mash-up design inspired The Nightmare Before Christmas and Portal called “Hallowed Descent” by Phillymar.

The shirt went on sale at RIPT today, Monday, February 3, 2014, at midnight CST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.

The t-shirt is available in men’s (through 3XL), women’s, and youth sizes for $10 each. Kids sizes are $10 (Girls, Toddlers, and Onesies); Hoodies for $38 (in Men/Unisex sizes). The $11 t-shirt deal of the day over at TeeFury today is a mash-up of Alice In Wonderland and Portal called “Forever Late” by Mandrie.

‘Star Wars Episode 7’ Director J.J. Abrams Developing ‘Half-Life,’ ‘Portal’ Movies

If you pay attention to entertainment news headlines even just a little bit, then you’ve noticed the name J.J. Abrams quite often lately. Whether it’s his upcoming mega-sequel Star Trek Into Darkness, the recent announcement that after Trek he’ll hop over to Star Wars Episode VII, or various other bits that may be reported, it’s a name we see often.

Now Abrams is adding to this run in the spotlight and looking to fortify his status amongst the geeks of this world.

At the D.I.C.E. Summit for video game designers and developers in Las Vegas recently, Abrams and Valve Software co-founder and president Gabe Newell announced that they are working on movie adaptations of two massively popular Valve games, Half-Life and Portal.

‘Portal’ Creator Valve Approved Guillermo Del Toro’s Use Of GlaDOS In ‘Pacific Rim’

Guillermo del Toro is one of the most talented and visionary directors and storytellers working today. He also happens to be a massive geek, just like you or I. This is exactly why most geeks have “hug Guillermo del Toro” somewhere on their bucket lists.

One of the forms of entertainment that del Toro is a big fan of, as many of us are, is video games. And one of his favorite games is the ultra-popular Valve Software puzzler Portal.

This became blatantly obvious when we finally got our eyes on the first trailer for del Toro’s overwhelmingly massive giant robots vs. giant monsters movie, Pacific Rim, in which the voice of the equally popular Portal villain GlaDOS can be heard.
