This may come as a shock, but I didn’t actually hate “The Team,” Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 3.17. It wasn’t all great, but there were some genuine character moments and decent plot developments. This episode was all about trust — and while a budding trust between multiple characters was quickly shattered by forces out of their control, my trust for the show began a path to renewal.

This week on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 3.16 “Paradise Lost,” S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra continue along their separate paths towards a final confrontation at the end of the season. While there are certainly some highlights (which I’ll cover in S.H.I.E.L.D.ed Observations below), this episode is very aptly named and is just bad as a whole.
And to cover why it’s so bad, I’d like to share with you my top five reasons in all their spoilery glory.

This week’s installment of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., “Spacetime” asks the question, “can the future be changed?” Unfortunately, as much as the previews and sneak peeks intended to hype up this episode, calling it “the most astonishing episode of the season,” its premise isn’t too original and it ends fairly flat.
