| SDCC 2012: ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’ Panel
Oz: The Great and Powerful is Sam Raimi‘s prequel to the 1939 adaptation of L. Frank Baum‘s classic book. It stars James Franco as the titular wizard, and Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams as the witches of Oz. San Diego Comic-Con moderator Chris Hardwick (The Nerdist podcast) introduced director Sam Raimi with a montage of his past films, including Spider-Man, Drag Me To Hell, the Evil Dead series, and The Quick and the Dead, amongst others. Raimi described Comic-Con as “geek central,” and says he loves coming here. He said Oz is based on L. Frank Baum’s stories, but is really the story of the Wizard’s journey to Oz, and his relationship with Glinda, the Good Witch.

| Watch This: Set Visit To Sam Raimi’s ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’I had a lot of fun at last year’s D23 Expo. Seeing everything Disney may be been one of the reasons why I attended the con, but the other reason is because I really wanted to see a preview of all their films. Most of them have already lived up to their hype. One of those previews I was most excited for is Sam Raimi‘s Oz: The Great and Powerful. | ‘The Bourne Legacy’ Trailer: More Questions, Fewer Answers, Thrilling ActionThe Bourne franchise proves that no matter how many movies or entries there are, you will only know less than half of the real story. A new trailer has emerged for The Bourne Legacy, and it gives a clearer picture of the characters surrounding the very people involved in the project that made Bourne the dangerous amnesia spy that he is (or was) today. You can check out the trailer below. Jeremy Renner takes the main character mantle as he begins to be caught up in the conspiracy involving the people behind the Tredstone project. Renner joins fellow series newcomers Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach, and Oscar Isaac, while franchise veterans Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn, and Scott Glenn reprise their roles.
