Each and every week, I, “Man of Steel” Henchman21, and “Woman of Steel” Empress Eve read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, we look forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? Night of the Owls by Greg Capullo

Following the lead in Scott Snyder’s current run on Batman, DC Comics has posted a graphic containing all of the titles that will be participating in the Batman crossover event Night of the Owls.

Night of the Owls started this week with a prelude in Kyle Higgins and Eddy Barrows’ Nightwing #8 which kickstarted the first issue in the crossover event, Batman #8 by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. The concept of the mini-event is that Gotham City has a sordid past that even Bruce Wayne was unaware of. The Court of Owls, an evil group of assassins, has been controlling the fate of Gotham the entire time. There’s much more to the story including Dick Grayson’s lineage and an all out assault against the Wayne family and other leaders of Gotham City. It’s a war of Bats vs. Owls when most of the Bat-family is called upon to participate.

In case you hadn’t heard, there’s a new Superboy series coming out this November.

What you see here is the absolutely gorgeous cover to the first issue with art by Rafael Albuquerque (Vertigo’s American Vampire). Click image here at right for full, larger view.

The new ongoing series will feature the talents of writer Jeff Lemire and artist Pier Gallo and according to DC’s Source Blog, will take Superboy “on a journey to a side of Smallville not even Superman knows about.”

This will be Lemire’s first crack at a monthly superhero book and I’m really interested to see how he handles it.

Previously in Incorruptible

Until recently, Max Damage headed the FBI’s most wanted list. Then mankind’s premier defender, the Plutonian, went berserk and blew up the FBI.

Something happened in the moment of Plutonian’s transformation, something Max isn’t talking about yet…but it was a transformative moment for Max, as well. After weeks of disappearance, Max has resurfaced, apparently having rededicated his life to superheroism. Max’s sidekick, the severely underage Jailbait, is — to put it mildly — unhappy with his bizarre decision. Max’s former enemy, police lieutenant Louis Armadale, is skeptical of Max’s new path…but he’s willing to listen, eager to find out just what set this former supercriminal on his new path…

The second issue of Incorruptible continues to give us more information on Max Damage, revealing more on his super power through a clever shaving scene with him and Jailbait that I really enjoyed. Speaking of Jailbait, I find her parts (no pun intended) hilarious and whenever she comes on-panel I light up with excitement.
