You can’t honor the best in film without honoring the worst. That’s the purpose of the Razzies, the annual awards show that honors the worst in film.
The 2019 Razzie nominations were announced earlier, with Gotti, The Happytime Murders, and The Death of a Nation earning multiple nominations including Worst Picture, Worse Actor and Actress, and more. Check out the full list of nominees below.
As we wait to find out tonight who will be the winners at the Academy Awards, which celebrates the best in film, the Golden Raspberry Awards — which spotlights the very worst in film — were held last night, February 21, 2015, at The Montalban theater in Hollywood, CA.
Tying for the lead with 6 Razzie Awards nods each were Transformers: Age of Extinction, the third Michael Bay sequel in the blockbuster franchise, and Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas, the “put Christ back in Christmas” comedy. Guess which movie took home the most awards for the best of the worst? That’s right, Kirk Cameron swept the Razzies with 4 wins.

As is tradition, the 2014 Razzie nominations were announced today just ahead of the Oscar nominations, which will be announced tomorrow. The 34th annual celebration of the year’s worst movies, directors, actors, and actresses highlights some of great missteps Hollywood has taken this past year, and boy are there some big ones.
The list includes oft-repeating nominees for the annual spectacle, including Adam Sandler, Tyler Perry, Lindsay Lohan, and Sylvester Stallone, who has received his 31st acting nomination for a trio of performances this year. Worst films of the year include Disney’s box office bomb The Lone Ranger, Grown Ups 2, and A Medea Christmas.
