Magnus: Robot Fighter #8 is a pretty important issue. Now, I do have a confession to make: I haven’t been following the title for a few months, so I was skeptical as to the level of enjoyment that I would get out of this issue. Steed And Mrs. Peel #5
Written by Anne Caulfield

BOOM! Studios
Release Date: May 16, 2012
Cover Price: $3.99

You know, BOOM! Studios should’ve just named Steed & PeelThe Avengers“. Boom Studios
Release Date: March 21, 2012
Cover Price: $3.99

I may have stated this in a previous review, but I’ve never seen The Avengers television show that the Steed & Mrs. Peel comic book series is based on. But, after reading Steed & Mrs. Peel #3 I think that I’m going to add it to my Netflix queue.

For those looking for a Grant Morrison story, this really isn’t that. Yes, he did write the book, but this isn’t “Grant Morrison’s Steed & Mrs. Peel!!!”. It’s Steed & Mrs. Peel written by Grant Morrison. What it is, is a charming, interesting, spy thriller with a lot of heart. You can tell that Morrison had a fondness for the show by the way he writes the characters and the story in general.
