Hot on the heels of the new poster for American Gods, the upcoming Starz television show based on the Neil Gaimannovel, as well as the first look at the character Bilquis, comes another sneak peek.
Starz has released the first look at Emily Browning as Laura Moon, shown reuniting with her husband Shadow (Ricky Whittle). Check it out here below.
A pair of images have been released giving us our first official look at American Gods, the Starz TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman‘s novel of the same name.
To be more specific, the first image offer a peek the main character Shadow Moon (played by The 100 star Ricky Whittle) in the middle of a scrap with Mad Sweeney (Pablo Schreiber) at Jack’s Crocodile Bar to prove his worth to Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane). The second image is a closer look at McShane’s Wednesday.

The casting on the Starz TV series adaptation of Neil Gaiman‘s novel American Gods is wrapping up. In addition to the many roles that have already been cast—including the main character Shadow Moon, who is set to be played byThe 100 star Ricky Whittle, and Mr. Wednesday, who will be played byDeadwood star Ian McShane—the characters Zorya Vechernyaya, Czernobog, Anubis, and The Jinn have also recently be cast.
The newly announced castings go as follows: Cloris Leachman (The Last Picture Show, Young Frankenstein) will play Zorya; Peter Stormare (Fargo, Armageddon) will play Czernobog; Chris Obi (Snow White and the Huntsman, Ghost in the Shell) plays Anubis; and Mousa Kraish (Superbad, Fast & Furious) plays The Jinn.
Ian McShane, the star of titles like HBO’s Deadwood (and soon to be seen on Game of Thrones), Lovejoy, Kung Fu Panda, Kings, Coraline, The Pillars of the Earth, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, John Wick, Ray Donovan, and more, has been tapped to take on the role of Mr. Wednesday in the Starz TV series adaptation of author Neil Gaiman‘s Hugo and Nebula Award winning novel American Gods.
McShane is the second major casting for the show, after the long-awaited casting of the main character Shadow Moon was announced at the end of January. The 100 star Ricky Whittle is set for that role.
