Well folks, another week and sadly another major loss to the rock world to report as legendary bassist Jimmy Bain has passed away at the age of 68.

Bain first gained renown as a member of Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow in the mid 1970s, but is probably best known for his work with fellow Rainbow alumn Ronnie James Dio in the latter’s eponymously named band.
