We first found out that the Academy Award winning writer and director behind Get Out, Jordan Peele, was producing a new take on The Twilight Zone back in 2017. Since that time we’ve seen a teaser video and a Super Bowl spot, and also found out that Peele himself would be hosting the anthology series.
Now CBS All Access has released an official trailer for the brand new Twilight Zone. On top of that, they’ve also revealed a premiere date for the show. You can find the info and watch the trailer below.
Back in November of last year we found out that Academy Award winning Get Out writer and director Jordan Peele was developing a new take on The Twilight Zone for CBS All Access. But as it turns out, Peele isn’t just producing the revival.
CBS All Access has released the first teaser video for the show. The video announces who will be hosting and narrating the new version, which we now know will be Peele himself. He follows the creator of the original Twilight Zone, Rod Serling, who hosted and narrated during that show’s first run from 1959 to 1964.

Imagine if Planet Of The Apes‘s Ape City had been a New York City-like metropolis and its simian inhabitants much more technologically advanced. That is what Rod Serling had in mind when he penned a screenplay from Pierre Boulle’s novel for the 1968 film for 20th Century Fox. But the studio felt Serling’s adaptation would be too costly to translate to the big screen, so they hired Michael Wilson (who had previously adapted Boulle’s The Bridge over the River Kwai) to rewrite the dialogue and revise the script to give the apes a more primitive society. Now, Serling’s original vision has been brought to life in Planet Of The Apes: Visionaries, a new graphic novel from BOOM! Studios.

If I told you I was seeing Planet of the Apes in theaters in 2016, you’d assume I was watching the third film in the new series starring Andy Serkis in motion capture technology as Caesar. Thanks to TCM and their Big Screen Classics promotion, the original 1968 classic is back in theaters for only one more day. It premiered on Sunday, July 24th, at several theaters throughout New York City, and I was there with my entire family, including my 5-year daughter.
