By the hymen of Olivia Newton-John!

2004’s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is, without question, one of the funniest comedies of all time. If it were a hiney, it would be absolutely breathtaking.

With absurd, quote-worthy dialogue and hyper-masculine, mustachioed man-children, Adam Mckay and Will Ferrell‘s 2004 film is a cult classic.

In Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, the Dynamic Duo of Dick Jokesâ„¢ have made a sequel so batshit crazy, so marvelously idiotic, that comparisons to the first film are nigh impossible. This exercise in insanity feels more like a B-side to Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie, that bizarro bonus movie assembled from Anchorman‘s abandoned subplots and alternate takes. To put it bluntly, this movie is fucking nuts.

Ron Burgundy’s Very Own Scotch On The Way Just In Time For ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’
  |  @   |

If the announcement of an official Anchorman ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s named Ron Burgundy’s Scotchy Scotch Scotch wasn’t enough for you, it is now being announced that a special Anchorman-inspired blended Scotch whisky is on the way just in time for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.

The scotch is called Great Odin’s Raven Special Reserve, and it’s a mixture of grain and malt Scotch whiskies from Speyside, Highlands, and Islay, with what’s described as a “rich, fruity flavor and a long finish,” and 40% alcohol by volume.

Will Ferrell As Ron Burgundy Guest Anchors Full North Dakota Newscast (Video)
  |  @   |

Will Ferrell has been making the rounds to promote Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, usually in character as Ron Burgundy himself. But instead of just showing off trailers and clips, more unique methods are being used to help build buzz for the movie.

We’ve already seen Burgundy doing an anti-piracy ad, and now he’s showing up to do real news in the unlikeliest of places. Ferrell recently did an entire newscast as Burgundy for KXMB in Bismarck, North Dakota. Anchorman 2 isn’t even mentioned once in the 30-minute broadcast. Sure, he does or says something silly once or twice, but for the most part, it’s all business.

You can see the entire newscast below.

A new anti-piracy trailer has been released for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, featuring Will Ferrell as eccentric newsman Ron Burgundy. The trailer was made specially by Paramount Pictures UK, in collaboration with UK anti-piracy search engine FindAnyFilm.com.

In it, Burgundy talks of “smelly pirate hookers” and “gentlemen’s relish,” and not much more needs to be said than that. If you’re a fan of Anchorman and are looking forward to the sequel, you should enjoy it.

Ben & Jerry’s Announces ‘Anchorman’ Ice Cream Ron Burgundy’s Scotchy Scotch Scotch
  |  @   |

We’ve seen some fun flavors of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream inspired by popular culture, many of which are completely made up. An ice cream inspired by the hit Will Ferrell comedy Anchorman called Ron Burgundy’s Scotchy Scotch Scotch is one of the more unbelievable ones you could come up with, but it also happens to be very real.

The popular ice cream maker announced the new flavor—butterscotch ice cream with butterscotch swirls (but no butterscotch chips, which you’d think would be necessary to complete the scotch trifecta)—in celebration of the December 20th arrival of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. The limited batch flavor is available in some Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops now, and will be showing up in pints on store shelves in the coming weeks.

Continue below to see what the pints will look like.
