Preview ‘Heroes Reborn’ Trailer (Video)
  |  @   |

I loved Heroes. In 2006, it was a unique concept for television – people who developed extraordinary abilities, and the people who attacked, feared, and loved them. I loved Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia), whose ability to take on other people’s powers made his every move an interesting one. I loved Dr. Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy), the earnest, genius, easy-on-the-eyes researcher. I even loved Sylar (Zachary Quinto), the first really terrifying villain I had seen in a long time.

So I will be tuning in for Heroes Reborn, a 13-episode series set to air September 24th on NBC.

Read the official synopsis, watch the trailer for Heroes Reborn – The Extraordinary Among Us, and the other promo video below.

‘Jem and The Holograms’ Trailer: Insert “Truly Outrageous” Reference Here
  |  @   |

If you were a fan of the ’80s animated TV series Jem and the Holograms, you were probably super excited to see the upcoming live-action movie based on it. I say “were” because you’re about to not be anymore. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for the movie, and it’s…well, it’s not going so hot. Response to the trailer has been overwhelmingly negative, largely thanks to the movie based on a show about a music company owner who leads a secret second life as the lead singer of a popular band with the help of holographic technology apparently not having a music company owner who leads a secret second life as the lead singer of a popular band with the help of holographic technology in it. It looks more like a modern-day remake of That Thing You Do! than anything, but not nearly as awesome.

You can read more about Jem and the Holograms and see the trailer for yourself below.

‘Jem and The Holograms’ Director Talks Modernizing 80s Cartoon
  |  @   |

Adapting a classic cartoon series is always going to be a touchy subject for fans. So when Universal’s Jem and The Holograms hits theaters this October, you can count on them to find flaws or errors of their beloved series. It gets a bit more difficult when you have to put a contemporary spin on it. But for director Jon M. Chu, he figured out a way to give the film a modern take.

Chu talks about some of the changes he had to make to the film in order for it to relate to a modern-day audience, one of the biggest of which is that the title character’s holographic bandmates will be replaced by a sister and two foster sisters. We also have a bunch of new images from the film. Check them all out here below.
