Very few names pop up that are quite as harsh on the ears as one Tim Burton.
Over the past few years, Burton’s career has fallen on hard times, making a fine amount of money at the box office, but becoming something of a critical pariah. But now, as producer, things may be changing as he’s got one hell of a cast for his next flick.
THR is reporting that both Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Reynolds have joined the cast of his new project, a biopic entitled Big Eyes.
According to THR, both Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski have been tapped to pen the script for the upcoming Ridley Scott film, Monopoly. The pair is best known for movies like Ed Wood and People Vs. Larry Flynt.
Now, it should really go without saying that this film doesn’t really seem to be one that could end up being all that worthwhile. Yes. Scott is a fantastic director, but given his last films, he’s one that may be on the tail end of his career.
Back in March we found out that Tim Burtonwould be part of a new stop-motion movie based on Charles Addams‘ classic work, The Addams Family, which ran in The New Yorker before becoming a TV series and pair of film adaptations.
According to Deadline (who first broke the original news), Burton is still attached to produce the movie for Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures, and that he’s reaching out to some old friends for help. It’s been revealed that his Ed Wood screenwriters, Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, have been hired to write the Addams Family script.
