Bethesda has released a new gameplay trailer for The Evil Within 2, the sequel to developer Tango Gameworks’ 2014 horror, titled “Race Against Time.”
In the sequel, you once again play as Sebastian Castellanos as he must fight through a nightmarish world to find his daughter before it’s too late. You can read much more about The Evil Within 2 and check out the new gameplay trailer below.
To go along with the announcement of the sequel Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Bethesda also announced The Evil Within 2 during their E3 2017 showcase. The game comes from the studio behind the original game, Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and his Tango Gameworks.
The announcement was made with a trailer, but it didn’t end there. A release date for the sequel was also revealed, and fans of the first game will not have to wait long to get their hands on it. On top of that, a gameplay trailer has also been released.
You can read more about the game and find the announcement trailer, along with the bonus gameplay trailer, below.
With October just around the corner, the horror season is about to begin! But it’s not just all about movies (though lots and lots and lots of those will be watched, of course). One could argue (as this writer would) that video games are where you can find the best scares. There’s simply nothing like playing a good horror video game. When you’re controlling things—you’re the one opening that door or turning that corner or investigating that strange noise you heard—the fear is intensified, sometimes to an almost unbearable level.
There’s plenty of great horror game options out there, and some new ones releasing soon. One releasing soon is The Evil Within, the new survival horror from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami. From what we’ve seen so far, the game looks supremely twisted and terrifying, and the latest gameplay trailer is no different. You can check it out below.
