NYCC 2018: Robert Kirkman’s Skybound To Finish Telltale’s ‘The Walking Dead: The Final Season’
  |  @   |

Last month came the announcement that Telltale Games was closing its doors, which meant the end for game series like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, which fans were finally getting a second season of after years of waiting patiently.

But the biggest immediate question everyone had was what did this mean for The Walking Dead: The Final Season. The closing chapter of Telltale’s most successful series had only just begun when the news hit, and it was unclear if two of the four episodes would ever actually see the light of day. Telltale made it clear that they were in talks with companies to help complete the season, and now we know that they’ve found the perfect partner. It was announced during the Walking Dead TV series’ New York Comic-Con 2018 panel that Skybound Entertainment, the company co-founded by Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, has reached a deal to ensure that the final season does indeed get the closure it deserves.

Trailer For ‘Payday’ Developer Overkill’s ‘The Walking Dead’ Video Game Released
  |  @   |

Way back in the year 2014, we found out that another video game set in Robert Kirkman‘s The Walking Dead universe was being made by Payday developer Overkill Software. At the time, we had a lengthy wait ahead of us to the game’s planned 2016 release. As you may have guessed by now, that wait ended up being just a teeny bit longer. The game is now set for a 2018 release.

But while we still have some waiting to do, a new trailer has been released. The game is, like Payday, a four-player co-op game. In it, you and your friends will be able to team up to see how you deal with both the living and the dead during the zombie apocalypse.

This new trailer introduces us to the first playable character, Aidan. You can check it out and read more about the game below.

Walking Dead comic book creator Robert Kirkman will be developing Roger Zelazny‘s epic scifi-fantasy saga Chronicles Of Amber for television.

Kirkman will be adapting Zelazny’s 10-book series with his Skybound Entertainment banner partner Dave Alpert, as well as Vincent Newman Entertainment (We’re the Millers), in what THR reports could be TV’s next Game of Thrones. GoT author George R.R. Martin has often credited Zelazny as one of his biggest inspirations.

New Trailer For ‘Air’ Starring Norman Reedus, Djimon Hounsou
  |  @   |

A new trailer has been released for Air, the upcoming post-apocalyptic thriller starring Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead, The Boondock Saints) and Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy, Gladiator) and produced by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman we first found out about back in February of 2014.

The movie is set in a time when nuclear war has left the air outside completely unbreathable. Two men (Reedus and Hounsou) are tasked with maintaining an underground cryogenics facility, one of many housing the world’s most important people, who will one day be revived so that they can use their skills to reboot humanity. Unfortunately this is not an optimum living environment, as you might have guessed, and some complications arise.

You can watch the new trailer for Air below.

  |

Digital comic book retailer Comixology is offering a FREE digital copy of The Walking Dead #19, which features the debut of Michonne, one of the series’ most popular characters.

The sword-wielding badass from The Walking Dead was revealed in the last minutes of the television show’s season two finale last Sunday, and while many comic book readers were celebrating, others were left scratching their heads at the site of a woman in a tattered hooded jacket, holding a sword and leading two zombies on chains. Granted, the debut of the character was an awesome sight, but fans who haven’t read the comics have no idea of the significance of the character. Enter Comixology. Comixology and Skybound are not run by stupid people. Offering the debut of the character for free is a perfect way to bring in fans of the show to check what fans of the comic have known for years. Michonne is totally awesome.
