A new trailer and an 11-minute gameplay demo for South Park: The Fractured But Whole, the sequel to The Stick of Truth, were released this week. The game was announced at the E3 event two years ago.
In the first game the kids were playing Lord of the Rings-style fantasy, and as we’ve seen in previously released trailers and videos for The Fractured But Whole, they’ve jumped over to playing superhero franchises.

Ubisoft has set a new release date for the follow-up to the brilliant 2014 gameSouth Park: The Stick of Truth, titled South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and also released a new trailer titled “The Farting Vigilante.”
And while the new release date and trailer are certainly exciting for anyone—myself very much included—who can’t wait to play the new game, I’m mainly sharing this with you now so that I had an excuse to use “The Farting Vigilante” in an article title. Opportunities like this do not come along every day, ladies and gentlemen.

Ubisoft has released a brand new trailer for South Park: The Fractured But Whole. The latest trailer for the video game comes just as the 20th season of the hit animated TV comedy comes to a close.
All of the big games being released in 2016 have come and gone, and so we now look to the year 2017, which looks to be a huge year with the releases of titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Mass Effect: Andromeda. But this new game, as someone who’s a huge fan ofThe Stick of Truth, is one of the big ones I’m most looking forward to.
Last year during E3 a surprise sequel to the fantastic 2014 gameSouth Park: The Stick of Truthwas announced. Not only was the sequel, titled South Park: The Fractured but Whole, present at E3 2016, but it was one of the highlights of the convention so far.
South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone were both on hand once again to talk about the game and share some goodies. In addition to a new trailer, the first gameplay footage was also on display and, as you might have expected, it all looks magnificent. It’s also very much not safe for workplace viewing or when the kiddies are around, so keep that in mind before heading below to dive into the hilarity.
South Park: The Stick of Truth was one of my favorite games of last year. A game that allowed you to spend hours and hours inside the world of South Park you’ve spent so much time watching on TV.
That game had a long development process, with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone heavily involved in its creation. But it didn’t sound like we’d be getting another game like it because of the rocky road that was traveled in making it. Thankfully that’s not the case. Kicking off Ubisoft’s E3 2015 presentation, an announcement trailer for a sequel to Stick of Truth titled South Park: The Fractured but Whole was shown.
