Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Remember how Josh Gad tried to figure out what Star Wars: The Last Jedi meant by grilling Daisy Ridley for answers?

The two star together in Kenneth Branagh’s remake of Murder On The Orient Express, and it appears that Gad has continued to pester Ridley about the title while off the set. He wasn’t able to get an answer directly, but maybe if he sneaks the question in there he might get Ridley to slip up. Of course, we should all know how this video ends. But that doesn’t make the exchange any less entertaining. Check out the video below.

Star Wars: Episode VIII header image

Since the official title for Rian Johnson‘s Star Wars: The Last Jedi was announced earlier this week, many have been speculating whether or not the “Jedi” in the title was plural or singular. Does it mean Rey or Luke Skywalker are the last of the Jedi, or is one of them literally “The Last Jedi.” The debate will probably carry on well into the days leading up to the film’s release. You don’t really expect the film to explain the title and spoil everything in the trailer, do you?

While we speculate and try to find out answers from various members of the cast in other press events, Josh Gad had something else in mind. Using whatever pull he has as the voice of Olaf in Frozen, he decided to ask Daisy Ridley, herself, the meaning behind The Last Jedi. As you might guess, he doesn’t get the answer, but the exchange itself is quite hilarious. Check out the video below.

Star Wars The Force Awakens Trailer 20

The tragic passing of Carrie Fisher hit everyone pretty hard last week. Not only was she a major figure of the Star Wars universe, she was also a writer and someone who was able to overcome the darkest parts of her life to become an inspiration. It’s insensitive to talk about what will happen to her Princess Leia character (she will always be royalty) now that she is gone, but here we are.

There is a new report that says she was to have a larger role in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII and Episode IX. Rian Johnson (director of Episode VIII) and Colin Trevorrow (director of Episode IX) are set to discuss how Leia will fit into the future of the franchise with Lucasfilm in the coming weeks. Check out the full report below.
