Star Wars films really haven’t been the same since they started opening in December. But this year is different. Fans will be treated to the franchise’s second spinoff, Solo: A Star Wars Story. But before the film opens on Memorial Day weekend, fans will be celebrating May the 4th. You know, May the Force be with you. It’s a Jedi play on words.

So as we get closer to Solo‘s release, Disney and Lucasfilm have announced their latest charity campaign. Starting today, you can give out your best Chewbacca roar on social media. And if you use the #RoarForChange hashtag, Star Wars: Force for Change will donate $1, up to $1 million. More info and the video can be found below.

Force For Change: Win The Ultimate ‘Star Wars’ Experience (Video)

Harrison Ford Surprises ‘Star Wars’ Fans Via Webcam (Video)

Omaze has done some great work with the Star Wars and Star Trek franchises to bring a whole lot of money to various charities. The most recent collaboration for a chance to win a walk on role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens brought in over $4 million dollars, so it makes perfect sense for them to keep the donation party going on behalf of those who need help.

A new collaboration with Omaze is underway that will see someone win a chance to meet the cast of The Force Awakens at the premiere of the movie. ‘Star Wars: Force For Change’ Winner Revealed; Director JJ Abrams Posts Note Of Thanks

The contest winner of the Star Wars: Force For Change initiative, which goes towards UNICEF Innovation Labs and Programs to help children and families around the world, was revealed today, and Star Wars: Episode VII director posted a note of thanks to all those who contributed to the cause.

D.C. Barns, of Denver, CO, has won the opportunity to not only visit the London set to go behind-the-scenes of the new Star Wars film, but to also be in the film in full costume and make-up! J.J. Abrams Unveils X-Wing In New ‘Star Wars’ Video

Back in May, a video was released from the set of Star Wars: Episode VII featuring director J.J. Abrams talking about a chance to appear in the movie by donating to an initiative through UNICEF that aims to help thousands of kids and families around the world called Star Wars: Force for Change.

Now, with only a few days left, another video with Abrams has been released to announce that if you take part in the initiative this final week not only will you have a chance to win a role in the movie, but also a chance to win an advanced hometown screening of Episode VII for you and 20 of your friends and family. And just as the first video subtly revealed that practical makeup and effects would be a part of the new movie in the appearance of an alien, this new video unveils a full-size X-wing starfighter.
