We haven’t heard a whole lot about the new TV series based on The Incredible Hulk currently being developed by Hellboy and Pan’s Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro and Battlestar Galactica executive producer David Eick. And, unfortunately, we’ll have to continue waiting for something juicy.
But Mr. del Toro did take the time out of working on his next film, Pacific Rim, to drop a little update on Del Toro Films, the writer, director, and producer’s official fansite.
Some snapshots from the set of Zack Snyder‘s Superman reboot, Man of Steel, have found their way to the ‘net, and one of the images has folks talking about a potential decision that could have fans quite angry.
The images come from the Kent farmhouse set, where young Superman (Henry Cavill) was raised by Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner). In one image in particular it appears that the villain, General Zod (Michael Shannon, or his stunt double), is visiting the Kent house, and it looks like he’s wearing some sort of performance capture suit, leading many to wonder if his suit will be added digitally later. This has been done once before, when it was announced that Ryan Reynolds’ superhero suit would be completely CGI in Green Lantern, which was, well…frowned upon by many.
Continue on below now to check out the image for yourself and share your thoughts on what might be going on, as well as your feeling if it is indeed another CGI suit–in-the–making.
So I’m strolling along the post-blizzard streets of New York City earlier this week when I spotted a new stand-up plaque at the foot of the William H. Seward statue at the southwest entrance of Madison Square Park. From afar I spotted the words, The Cape, which I know is new superhero drama premiering this weekend on NBC.
As I got a little closer, I realized that the statue of Seward was now newly adorned with a flowing black cape! I crossed the park to find at the other end the statue of Admiral David Glasgow Farragut was also donning a cape and had a similar plaque as well.
Check out the photos I took of the statues here below. It was an amazing sight, I’m glad I happened upon it!
Many names were reportedly in consideration for the role of Captain America in The First Avenger: Captain America. We were told of quite a few of them toward the end of February (Read: Want To Know Who’s In The Running To Become Captain America?), but ironically, it’s now two candidates that were not part of that list who have won the lead roles.
It’s being reported that Sebastian Stan, who was at one time a possible choice to become the Captain himself, has been cast in the role of Bucky Barnes. He joins Chris Evans, who of course was recently offered and accepted the job to play the highly coveted superhero role.
