Watch Now: First Trailer For ‘The A-Team’ Movie Is Here
  |  @   |

The very first trailer for Joe Carnahan‘s (Smokin’ Aces) theatrical version of popular TV show The A-Team has found its way online. Only one official image had been released for the this movie so far, which makes this trailer everyone’s first really good look at the movie.

As far as judging books by their cover goes, this is one of those titles we kind of laughed at when hearing it would become a movie. This is because we only know it in its cheesy ’80s form, and the first thing that we think of is Mr. T. Thankfully, The A-Team is a show that is well-suited for an update, and most of it transfers to modern styles with ease. The trailer makes the movie look like a lot of fun. It also makes the movie look like it’s directed by Michael Bay, but it definitely looks like it could be great action movie.

Be sure to head over to the other side and check out the trailer for yourselves. Share your thoughts in the comments!

First Official Image Of The New ‘A-Team’ Together
  |  @   |

A short time ago, someone was able to snap a photo of the cast of Joe Carnahan‘s (Smokin’ Aces) new TV show adaptation, The A-Team while on the set (Read: Super Geek Peek: New Images From “˜Green Hornet,’ “˜A-Team’ & More!). The image was decent, but it was far away and it looked like they were on break, so it was hard to go nutty over. Now the very first official image of the group together has been released, and you get a really strong idea of how the characters will look and how they’ve modernized some small things.

In the image is Bradley Cooper (The Hangover, Wedding Crashers) as Face; former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as B.A. Baracus; Liam Neeson (Kingdom of Heaven, Taken) as Hannibal; and Sharlto Copley (District 9) as Murdoch.

Click on over to the other side to check out the brand new first image of the gang together, and for comparison’s sake, I’ve included a lovely little photo of the original cast above, so feel free to click and compare away.

Super Geek Peek: New Images From ‘Green Hornet,’ ‘A-Team’ & More!
  |  @   |

A party bag of new images from some big time new movies have been released all over the ‘net today. The images are basically just some sneaky behind the scenes shots of filming, but they’re our very first look at these movies, which makes them pretty exciting. There’s also a new image of Sam Worthington from Louis Leterrier‘s Clash of the Titans from Empire, which you can see at right!

The first movie we’re getting our first good look at is The Green Hornet. Splash News has a collection of pictures from filming, and they show writer/producer/star Seth Rogen as the Hornet himself, along with sidekick Kato, played by Jay Chou. As you can tell, they’re being pretty faithful to the look of the characters, so fans should be pretty excited.

UFC Star Rampage Jackson To Replace Mr. T In ‘The A-Team’ After All?
  |  @   |

Almost a year ago, we found out that Smokin’ Aces director Joe Carnahan would be directing the new adaptation of The A-Team. Around the same time, there were rumors swirling that former UFC light-heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson could possibly be playing the role made famous by Mr. T: B.A. Baracus. These rumors weren’t taken very seriously, of course, and eventually many other names were rumored, which moved Jackson slightly out of memory.

It appears that this story is back in sight, as it is being reported by the Vancouver Sun that Rampage has shown up in Vancouver to begin filming for the movie. The report basically states that the fighter is there, and has been seen signing autographs, so technically it’s not a 100% confirmation. Though it does seem that Rampage’s much-anticipated upcoming fight with Rashad Evans has been called off for a second time — the first being due to injury, and this time, it’s assumed, so that the movie can be filmed.

‘Smokin’ Aces’ Director Next In Line To Revive ‘The A-Team’
  |  @   |

There’s been chatter about a movie adaptation for The A-Team for a while now. Most recently it was in the works with John Singleton set to direct and Ice Cube in as B.A. Baracus. It was also said that UFC fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson auditioned for the same role. Singleton eventually left the project due to issues with casting. No word on if this is because of auditions by UFC fighters or not, but he apparently didn’t like something.

Now that that recipe didn’t work, a new team is being assembled, starting with negotiations to hire Smokin’ Aces director Joe Carnahan to take the wheel. Because Singleton left due to casting issues, there’s a chance that actors may be still attached, but that’s not confirmed. Considering how chaotic Aces was, I’m thinking this may be a good choice.
