In Star Wars: Darth Maul – Death Sentence #2, we find the roles reversed and Darth Maul put into a situation where he actually has to HELP people instead of kill them. But, that doesn’t mean he’s any nicer about things.

Writer Tom Taylor gives up another chapter in the Clone Wars era of the Star Wars universe. Now, we’ve seen Darth Maul ‘die’ in The Phantom Menace, and we’ve seen him come back to life in the Clone Wars cartoon series, but beyond that, we don’t know what truly happen to him, so this mini series is a bit of a mystery. Will he die for good this time? Will he survive and wander the galaxy while the “original” Star Wars films are going on? Who knows?

Dark Horse Comics
Release Date: February 29, 2012
Cover Price: $7.99

Star Wars: The Clone Wars – The Enemy Within is a one-shot adventure set during the proceedings of The Clone Wars in the Star Wars universe, published under the Dark Horse Books format. With a mildly enjoyable storyline that focuses in on some new characters, this Star Wars comic is one some fans will be partial to, especially the younger readers among them.

The Enemy Within follows the story of a newly formed platoon of Clone Troopers, rashly rushed together by Republic Commander Griebs Kishpaugh. Lead by Clone Sergeant Banks, new to “boots-on-the-ground” combat, the group deploy to the planet Oznek in an attempt to undermine secret Separatist campaigns there.

As they arrive, their transport ship comes under crippling fire from battle droids near their drop zone area, causing their LAAT/i transport to crash. Behind enemy lines, the Clone Troopers press on with their mission, though it soon becomes clear that not all is what it seems to be, including the potential motivations for this Republic incursion.

Star Wars: Darth Plagueis

The official Star Wars site has unveiled the first look at the cover artwork for the upcoming novel, Star Wars: Darth Plagueis by James Luceno. See full cover art by clicking image here above.

The long-awaited novel (that was actually canceled at one stage) focuses on the Sith Lord who was the Master of Palpatine, the apprentice who would become the Emperor.

Plagueis was first mentioned in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, when Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) recounts the “tale of Darth Plagueis the Wise” to Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen). The novel is anticipated to expand on Palpatine’s apprenticeship to Plagueis when he was dubbed Darth Sidious.

Firebreather Blu-ray DVDFirebreather
Blu-ray | DVD
Directed by Peter Chung
Starring Dana Delany, Jesse Head
Cartoon Network
Release date: March 22, 2011

Firebreather is a new movie/TV pilot which was on Cartoon Network around Thanksgiving of last year, but is now available on DVD and Blu-ray. Firebreather is based on the Image comic by Phil Hester and Andy Kuhn and it follows the adventures of a teenager named Duncan (Jesse Head), as he moves to a new school and deals with the normal high school stuff.

The only difference is that his dad is a 150-foot lizard monster named Belloc (Kevin Michael Richardson). Duncan’s dad is the king of the Kaiju, a race of giants who threaten mankind. Duncan, however, is half kaiju and half human, so while most of the time he looks fairly normal, in times of stress he will get all scaly, grow wings, and breathe fire. As the future leader of the kaiju, Duncan’s father expects him to be tough, while his mom expects him to live as a normal teenager with school and everything else that entails. As the heir, Duncan has to prove himself against other kaiju who are looking to gain power themselves.
