Warning! Spoilers below for the season 3 finale of The Flash!
Last season on The Flash, Savitar, aka warped Barry remnant (Grant Gustin), was finally defeated without Iris (Candice Patton) dying because HR (Tom Cavanagh) sacrificed himself instead. There was a giant fight – Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) ended up saving Cisco (Carlos Valdes), and Iris took out Savitar. The speed force needed a sacrifice and showed up as Barry’s mother, insisting he needed to go love there or worlds would be destroyed. Julian (Tom Felton) made a cure but Caitlin didn’t take it, although she was on a path to redemption.
Heroes and Villains FanFest (HVFF 2017) took New Jersey by storm this weekend with stars from our favorite superhero shows mixing it up with fans. This wildly popular convention, dedicated to the fan experience saw stars from The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Gotham giving autographs, taking selfies, and of course, speaking at panels.
Sunday afternoon fans got a super treat from The Flash / Legends of Tomorrow panel with Candice Patton (Iris West), Robbie Amell (Ronnie Raymond / Deathstorm), Caity Lotz (White Canary / Sara Lance), Brandon Routh (The Atom / Ray Palmer), Carlos Valdes (Vibe / Cisco Ramon).
At San Diego Comic-Con Sunday morning, the Supernatural panel won the Con by having Kansas perform live their hit and season-ending anthem, “Carry On Wayward Son!” I so wish I was there. Rob Benedict and Richard Speight Jr. (Chuck/God and The Trixter/Gabriel & director of a few episodes), the Kings of Con, introduced the panel: EP’s Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb, the boys, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padelecki, and to top it off, Misha Collins popped by.
The CW dropped all their bombs yesterday at San Diego Comic-Con, and Arrow arrived with a slick season 5 sizzle reel, along with a sneak peek at season 6. Some casting news accompanied the explosive video.
More news rolls in from San Diego Comic Con, this time about everyone’s favorite speedster, Barry Allen and CW’s The Flash. Perhaps the most consistently entertaining and engrossing of the DC(TV)EU, The Flash ended its third season with Barry (Grant Gustin) saving Iris (Candice Patton) from death at the hands of Savitar. Unfortunately, as often happens with Flash’s super speed, space and time were disturbed causing Barry to surrender himself to the Speed Force. Fear not, though as The Flash returns this October for season 4 and according to SDCC 2017, he’ll have new villains and actors to deal with.
