In tribute to actor Robin Williams, who died on Tuesday, The Hub Network will air the 1978 episode of Happy Days where his character Mork debuted.
“My Favorite Orkan,” where Williams first appeared as the alien Mork from Ork, will air on Hub two times in succession on Friday, August 15, 2014, first at 9pm ET (6pm PT) and then at 9:30pm ET (6:30pm PT).
Here at Geeks of Doom, we like to show off new games right from the get go. Well, it just so happens that Wizards of the Coast is totally cool with that and they keep me well informed (and stocked with samples).
This Friday, November 8, the new expansion set Kaijudo – Invasion Earth, hits the shelves at better book, hobby, and game stores nationwide. I’ve included a preview of the deck and boosters below.
Season two of Kaijudo is upon us but this season the name has changed a bit, reflecting the shift in the game and the animated series. While the first season was called Rise Of The Duel Masters, this season is aptly named Kaijudo: Clash Of The Duel Masters. Continuing to center around Raiden “Ray” Pierce-Okamoto and his friends Allison “Allie” Underhill and Gabriel “Gabe” Wallace, the series starts a brand new season Friday, June 21, 2013.
Kicking off with the first episode entitled “The Butterfly Effect,” we see that our heroes are back in the thick of it. Trying to save the wonderful creatures known as kaiju from The Choten and his plans of world domination is a full time job, it’s truly amazing these kids find time for school. Aided by the enigmatic Duel Masters, they fight for the survival of not just the creatures from the other side of The Veil but for the entire world, too!
An animated series that some of you may be familiar with and others not at all familiar with, Dan Vs. is finally making its way to home video.
The show, which comes from the same animation studio behind episodes of Family Guy, The Simpsons, Beavis and Butt-Head, and King of the Hill, airs on Discovery and Hasbro’s The Hub network, but, if you’re like myself, is also a show you’ve never heard of—to the point of it already getting through a significant chunk of its second season unnoticed—on a channel you’ve never heard of. One of the primary reasons for this is because it used to be the Discovery Kids channel, and most of its content is aimed at a much younger audience. Upon further inspection, however, the channel does air re-runs of ALF, so we should all give it a peek on that basis alone.
For those of you who are aware of and watch Dan Vs., you’ve likely been wondering just when the first season of the show would be released on DVD. The answer is later this summer, on July 17th, and you can pre-order it right now.
Tomorrow, 26 June 2012, marks the release of the new trading card game from Wizards of the Coast. Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters: Tatsurion vs. Razorkinder is the newest game in the multi-platform franchise based on the animated series on The Hub. Containing two decks that are housed in cases meant to resemble the actual tablets from the series, these 40-card decks also contain two Super Rare cards featuring Tatsurion and Razorkinder themselves!
Additionally, these cards link directly to the online game through two special codes included in each set. With set zones of play, this game is made to be played in a fast and furious manner. Containing creature and spell cards both, this game is guaranteed to deliver hours of entertainment for Kaijudo fans everywhere.
But here at Geeks of Doom, we are pleased to be able to show you something no one else has seen yet… an exclusive image of one of the cards! Called Blaze Belcher, this card can be used repeatedly to attack your opponent round after round! I’m not sure how rare this one is, but I can definitely tell you that we were the first ones to see it and the first to share it with our readers! See it here below.
