Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games film franchise is a four-part adaptation of the trilogy of the same name. Set in a dystopian future that was once North America, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is thrust into the dangerous competition called the Hunger Games, a nationally televised event in which “tributes,” a boy and a girl from each of the 12 districts, battle to the death until only one person survives.
Katniss along with her fellow District 12 tribute Peeta Mellarck (Josh Hutcherson) come out as victors but also sparking a revolution amongst the impoverished districts. In order to snuff out that spark, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) holds the Third Quarter Quell, in which previous winners of the Hunger Games have to battle amongst each other once more.
Last week, the gang at Screen Junkies did an Honest Trailer for Insurgent, the second film of the Divergent series. Now they return to finish the biggest YA series ever, by doing the “4th film in the Hunger Games trilogy” (let that marinate for a second). You liked the first one, and loved the second one, but were completely bored out of your mind by the hella-depressing 2-hour prologue to the even more depressing 2+ hour finale… so strap in for the final Honest Trailer, for this series of films… even narrator Jon Bailey apologizes for the repetitiveness of his jokes.
Lionsgate has released a new trailer for the The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, the final installment of The Hunger Games film franchise. But this isn’t a traditional trailer by any means, instead of showing footage of the action, tension, and romance, it focuses solely on the bonds between Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Primrose Everdeen (Willow Shields), and shows how their relationship has evolved throughout the three films.
This year marked the last time that The Hunger Games would be at Comic-Con, unless they make spinoffs, but it will be the last one for the base source material at least. With only a few more months left until the release of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, Lionsgate – who has done am absolute marvelous job marketing the film franchise from beginning to end – has released the trailer that was seen at the convention a few weeks back. And while it may be the same trailer, it is still exciting to watch nonetheless

Conan is live at San Diego Comic-Con all this week and you can tell he is with his people. Thursday night, his guests were Elijah Wood and Chris Hardwick, after a Mad Max intro and some interesting Wolverine auditions.
Last night, fresh off their SDCC 2015 panel (of which Conan was the moderator), Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Helmsworth visited Conan O’Brien to talk about The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, and the crazy ride that all of this has been.
