This time around it’s one of Sony’s big PlayStation 4 exclusives, The Order: 1886 from developer Ready At Dawn. The game is a neo-Victorian game that has impressed with the small amount of gameplay footage we’ve seen so far.
On the bright side of life, a new short preview of some gameplay has found its way to the ‘net and can be seen below.
One of the cool games we saw revealed at E3 2013 last summer was The Order: 1886, a Neo-Victorian game that mixes an old school look with some funky futuristic weapons and technology as an order of knights battles halfbreed beings that are a combination of man and monster.
That first look at the game was only a cinematic, but one made using the game’s engine. Still, it is only when we get to see actual gameplay action that we can start getting an idea of what a game might look like. Today comes that first peek at some gameplay.
You can check out the gameplay demo for The Order: 1886 below, along with a new cinematic trailer.
Sony doesn’t get nearly as many exclusive video game titles as Microsoft does, but they’re still walking out of E3 the victors after some exciting announcements about their new PlayStation 4 console.
One PS4 exclusive they do have coming is The Order: 1886, a new game from God of War PSP developers Ready At Dawn, and the first cinematic trailer for the game was released during E3 2013.
The game has the late 19th-century look you’d expect after reading the title, but also some steampunk and even futuristic vibes with a collection of weaponry you wouldn’t expect to see in 1886. It has a sort of a League of Extraordinary Gentlemen feel to it, if a comparison had to be made.
