Summit Enhances ‘Twilight’ Experience With ‘The Twilight Saga’ Movie Marathon
  |  @   |

The finale of any long-running movie franchise feels so incomplete without having a studio run some sort of special movie marathon. Think of it as the penultimate event before you wave farewell to a beloved story, well that is until a studio reboots it. So like The Lord of the Rings, or The Avengers, The Twilight Saga is getting its very own movie marathon before the showing of the final chapter of the film franchise.

And like most movie marathons, this one will be shown one day before the official release of the final film. The Twilight Saga is made up of five films, which were adapted from four books. The fourth and final book was adapted into two parts.

‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ Director David Slade To Develop ‘Daredevil’ Reboot
  |  @   |

Another of the insta-reboots (along with new takes on Spider-Man and Fantastic Four) currently in development at various studios is Daredevil, the Marvel comic book title that was turned into a 2003 movie starring Ben Affleck for 20th Century Fox.

The ’03 movie cost $78 million to make and went on to bring in about $179 million worldwide. It also faced pretty mediocre critical reception — both being assumed reasons Fox has decided they wanted to give it another run. A reboot has been known about for a while, but the studio has now found someone to develop the project and possibly direct it, as well.

Fox has hired David Slade, who recently directed The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, to develop a brand new take on the Daredevil story. It’s assumed that once everything comes together, Slade would also be the man to direct. Eclipse cost $68 million to make and went on to bring in almost $700 million worldwide.

Watch Now: ‘Harry Potter’ & ‘Twilight’ Get Auto-Tuned At The Oscars
  |  @   |

During E!’s coverage of the Academy Awards Red Carpet arrivals last night, host Ryan Seacrest teased that there would be a special musical nod to Twilight about halfway through the Oscars ceremony. At the time I could not imagine what could be planned and why exactly was Twilight being incorporated into the Academy Awards.

About halfway through the show, there was a music video montage with scenes from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Toy Story 3, The Social Network, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 that were doctored to make it seem as those the actors were singing. To add some humor to it, the dialogue was auto-tuned.
